Refund policy

Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Portuguese and European Union consumer law, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason.

To exercise this right, you must notify us in writing by email within 14 days of receipt. Telephone notifications are not accepted.

If your order has not yet been dispatched, please contact us immediately to cancel it prior to shipment.

Conditions for Returns

Returned items must:

Be unused and in fully resalable condition
Be returned in their original packaging, including all accessories and documentation
Be adequately packaged to prevent damage during transit

We reserve the right to refuse a refund if items are returned incomplete, damaged, or used, unless the return is due to a defect.

Sealed or shrink-wrapped items may only be returned if the seal remains intact, unless the product is defective.

Return Shipping & Liability

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, except where items are faulty or incorrectly supplied
Original delivery charges are non-refundable, except in cases of fault or error
Customers are responsible for insuring returned items and ensuring safe packaging

We strongly recommend using registered or tracked delivery.
La Clandestine is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.

Faulty or Incorrect Items

If you receive a faulty or incorrect item, please contact us immediately with photographic evidence.

In such cases, we will offer:

A full refund including standard delivery costs, or
A replacement item, subject to availability

Reasonable return shipping costs will be reimbursed where a fault is confirmed.

Exchanges

If you would like to exchange an item for a different size, color, or product, please contact us to arrange the exchange.

Refunds

Refunds are processed after returned goods have been received and inspected and will be issued to the original payment method.

Refunds will be made:

Typically within 1–5 business days after inspection
No later than 30 days from receipt of your withdrawal notice, in accordance with EU law

Non-refundable payment processing fees charged by third-party payment providers may be deducted, except where prohibited by law or where goods are faulty.

Non-Returnable Items

Due to the unique and handcrafted nature of our products, certain items may not be eligible for return. This includes:

Custom or made-to-order items
Items marked as final sale

Abuse, Fraud & Non-Return

We reserve the right to delay or refuse refunds where fraud, abuse, or incomplete information is suspected.

If cancelled goods are not returned, we may arrange collection at the customer’s expense unless otherwise agreed.

Applicable Law & Jurisdiction

This policy is governed by Portuguese law.
Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts, without prejudice to mandatory EU consumer rights.
